ISIS Bans Real Madrid, Manchester United Jerseys And More

The Islamic State have placed a ban on football jerseys manufactured by Nike and Adidas, including those of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Al-Furat province in Iraq.


Isis’ Hisba police have made the ruling, and announced that anyone found in breach of these new laws would receive 80 lashes as punishment.

It means no replica jerseys can be worn of any of the aforementioned sides. Jerseys of Manchester City, Chelsea, PSG and AC Milan are also banned. National team jerseys worn by England, France, Germany and the United States are also prohibited.


It’s been previously reported that three men were publicly flogged for playing football in Mosul. ISIS members are also said to have ripped up a Lionel Messi Barcelona shirt worn by one of the men.
